New Additions to Version 8 from Version 7
* All new EASYFARM, redeveloped using the Microsoft .Net platform.
Which makes it Vista ready and 64bit ready.
* Improved ease of use. Has fewer windows, the transaction register and check entry are now in the same window.
* Print checks and reconcile a check book, are now in the same register screen.
* Allows multiple windows open at the same time. You do not have to close
one window before opening another like on Version 7
* Allows multiple clients/profiles in the same program.
* Added Cost Centers to track all inflows & outflows to enterprises like a feed lot.
(also referred to as Job Costing)
* In Ver. 7 the Memo field was used to track repairs on each piece of equipment. Now the Cost Centers
allow you to track repairs, leaving the memo open to describe the repair.
* Added a + & - (minus) to the Quantity to allow a credit on Qty.
* All input fields are now automatically left justified to prevent spaces before a name.
* The transaction screen now displays the active Ledger and Checking account.
* Added a second address line to Vendors.
* Added ability to add multiple split attachments of accounts to the same Vendor.
* Each Ledger now has is own Vendor File, however when you add a new Vendor,
you have a choice to copy it to other Ledgers.
* You now can do a crop insurance payment with a claim refund in the same transaction.
Previously it required a journal entry.
* You now can purchase a tractor, enter a check for the down payment, handle a trade in,
by putting it into an income account, borrow money for a loan and enter it into Liabilities,
and enter the tractor in assets. All in the same transaction.
* Process a Credit Card Statement, by entering each charge or credit to an expense account,
and reconcile the total entries to the credit card Statement. The future
possibility of downloading your credit card statement into EasyFarm.
* It is now easier to do Returns, Credits, and Journal Entries.
* Set the Backup to be Automatic upon exiting the program.
* When doing Payroll on Ver. 7 you had to enter the Vendor Name, and then the Payroll account name or number.
Now on Version 8, when you put the Employees Name in the Vendor file, you can attach the Payroll account to it,
so it will go from the Vendor input right to Payroll. More improvements will soon to be added to payroll.
* Added the input for Medical deduction to Payroll.
* Made improvement in doing a Prepaid Expense. Now much easier.
* You can scan in documents, like a bill of sale, and attach to the purchase check.
* Also, scan in your signature, so when printing checks you will not have to sign them.
* New, improved, easier, method of sorting transactions in the register, by Tran #, Date, Vendor, Amount or Memo.
* Fixed the problem doing a Principal and Interest Paid split transaction and having the interest associated
to the proper loan. Also you can do an Interest only payment and attach it to a loan. So you can get a more accurate Loan
Activity report. So what we have changed is when using the Interest Paid account, it now opens a Liability window
and asks which loan it is associated with.
