Check Writing
If you can write a check you can operate Easy-Farm. Features like EasyFind (a search-as-you-type function) gives you the power to quickly input your entries. This search feature works in vendor fields, memo fields, and even account name/number fields. Don't like account numbers you say? Turn them off!
Your checkbook balance is always available so that you know right where you stand while you are entering checks and deposits.
Vendors can be setup with preset amounts for regular monthly payments. When you write a check to that vendor the amount and/or memo is filled in automatically. A pick list is also available for all vendors.
The check number will increment automatically. You can even use the + or - keys to change the check number. Same with the date. Tracking quantities with Easy-Farm is a snap. Would you like to record the number of bushels, gallons, pounds, tons, etc. of a particular item you purchased? Not a problem with Easy-Farm. You can even get a report totalling the quantities purchased for a specific time frame. Want to balance your checkbook? Not a problem - it only takes a few minutes.

Depreciation

When it comes time to depreciate your equipment, again, Easy-Farm has it covered. With a complete depreciation module your balance sheet is always up-to-date with accurate costs and market values for all of your assets.

Each depreciable asset can be depreciated using one of three methods - 1) Declining Balance, 2) Declining Balance with Straight Line, or 3) Straight Line. MACRS percent can be set to 150% or 200%.

When you depreciate an asset the depreciation schedule is shown immediately. Each of the three methods (listed above) are shown for a side by side comparison. The schedule is shown for the entire duration of the assets life.

Enterprising

So, what is your cost of production for wheat? How much did you spend in repairs on your combine last year? Did you make or lose money on corn? Are your feeder cattle costing you more this year than last?

These are just a few questions that you may be asking yourself. Easy-Farm has a simple yet powerful enterprising module that will answer these questions and more. By enterprising your entries at the time that you write a check, make a deposit, or enter a transaction, you can have accurate, up to the minute answers to these types of questions.

For every entry that you make you can allocate that specific expense (or income) to any enterprise right on the fly. An enterprise could be a crop, livestock, an implement, or even a building.

FINPACK Integration

Vertical Solutions has developed, in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Ag Extension Service, an import/export function to allow data transfer from Easy-Farm to FINPACK.

FINPACK, the world's most powerful farm/ranch financial analysis tool, is used across the nation and in many other countries. FINPACK is used to help farmers and ranchers analyze the financial stability of their operation, perform long-range planning, and produce cash flow projections.
